MOSCOW, May 30 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday the talks with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez demonstrated “common approaches to the key issues on the international agenda, including the situation in Syria and the Middle East settlement.”
Lavrov described the talks as “rather fruitful.”
“We assess this visit as the next step towards strengthening strategic partnership between our countries,” he said.
The priority task for Russian-Cuban relations is “to increase bilateral trade and to identify new areas where joint efforts can be exerted to mutual benefit,” Lavrov said.
