SOCHI, May 27 (Itar-Tass) - The ticket price on the high-speed railway lines in the Volga region and in southern Russia should be affordable, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting devoted to the prospects of the development of the high-speed train traffic here on Monday.
“The feasibility studies of these projects (the high-speed railway lines Moscow-the Volga region, Moscow-Rostov-on-Don-Adler) should contain the decisions on the tariff policy and the ticket price,” the president stated. “I want to note right now that the ticket price should be acceptable and affordable for the overwhelming majority of people,” Putin underlined.
