MOSCOW, May 25 (Itar-Tass) - The Makhachkala suicide bomber has been identified as 25-year-old Madina Aliyeva, a representative of the Information Centre of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) told Itar-Tass.
“She was a common-law wife of two previously neutralised militants - Aliyev and Dzhapayev. According to the NAC, Aliyeva has travelled abroad where she contacted with active members of illegal armed groups,” said the NAC representative.
In Makhachkala, the Russian Investigative Committee (SK) department for Dagestan told Itar-Tass that Aliyeva was identified by a photograph.
According to the agency, a genetic expert examination has been scheduled, it will be held in Yessentuki. Possibly, Aliyeva’s parents who live in Makhachkala will be invited to the identification procedure.
According to some reports, Madina Aliyeva was going to become a suicide bomber and stage an explosion in a city in the north of Russia. According to investigators, in the summer of 2012 during a special operation in Kaspiysk she was also in the house where the militants were hiding. However, after negotiations she came out with other women and her two children. On May 13 this year, her parents reported to the police that their daughter disappeared. The police announced a search for her as a missing person.
