Maxim Akimov succeeds Sergei Prikhodko as 1st deputy head of govt administration

The position has been vacant after Sergei Prikhodko was appointed Deputy Prime Minister to succeed Vladislav Surkov who resigned from the post in early May

MOSCOW, May 24 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev appointed Maxim Akimov first deputy head of the administration of the government, the official legal information website on Friday cites Medvedev’s decree of May 23.

The position has been vacant after Sergei Prikhodko was appointed Deputy Prime Minister to succeed Vladislav Surkov who resigned from the post in early May.

Apart from that, Medvedev appointed Nikolai Reshetnikov head of Prikhodko’s secretariat.
