MOSCOW, May 23 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov has refuted media allegations about his voluntary resignation.
“It is nonsense, don’t believe. I have written no resignation notices and are not going to do it,” he told journalists on Thursday.
The only sound reasons for resignation, he said, are no-confidence from senior officials or health considerations.
“If your health is fine and if you have strength enough, you must go on working. And if you have no such possibilities, you should not accept a higher post,’ Shuvalov said.
“I am not a faint-hearted kind and I am not going ask resignation,” he stressed once again.
He also dismissed media allegations about resignation of his other colleagues as “totally ludicrous.” “It’s simply a hoax,” he said.
