Finance Ministry forecasts budget deficit elow 0.6% of GDP in 2014

In 2014-2015 the budget deficit will increase as compared with the previously planned figures

MOSCOW, May 22 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Finance Ministry forecasts the growth of the budget deficit below 0.6% of GDP in 2014, below 0.7% in 2015 and 0.6% of GDP in 2016, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Wednesday.

In his words, according to the preliminary reports of the Finance Ministry, “The budget deficit in 2013 will make 0.6% of GDP.” In 2014-2015 the budget deficit will increase as compared with the previously planned figures (0.2% of GDP in 2014 and about zero in 2015) to 0.6% and 0.7% of GDP, respectively. “Still for 2016 it is somewhere approximately 0.6% of GDP,” the minister underlined.
