About 30,000 law enforcers to ensure security at Universiade-2013 in Kazan

Over 3,200 video cameras and other security systems will be used at the Universiade Village

KAZAN, May 22 (Itar-Tass) - About 30,000 law enforcers will ensure security at the 27th World University Games in Kazan, Deputy Director General of the executive directorate Kazan-2013 Ildar Nizamutdinov said here on Wednesday.

The ensuring of security, particularly at mass gatherings, is prioritized. The stadium Kazan-Arena, which is designed for 45,000 spectators and which will host opening and closing ceremonies of the Universiade-2013, already began to install the video cameras. About 100 video cameras will be installed along the parameter of the building and 300 more video cameras inside the stadium.

Over 3,200 video cameras and other security systems will be used at the Universiade Village, at sport and other facilities related with the Summer World University Games.

The special tents, which are equipped for the checks, will be placed for the spectators to enter the sport facilities. The tickets for the competitions will be checked automatically, through the terminals that will read the code bars. Similar terminals will check automatically the badges of the participants and attending personnel.

For the checks of the cargoes, which are delivered to the sport facilities, the city has created four special grounds, on which mobile inspection systems are placed.

The 27th World University Games will be held in Kazan in 27 kinds of sport on July 6-17.
