NAZRAN, May 21 (Itar-Tass) - A senior militant who was Doku Umarov's "right hand," has been destroyed in a special operation in Ingushetia, the republic’s leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov told Itar-Tass.
He is Dzhamaleil Mutalyev, military emir of Imarat Kavkaz; his accomplice, an Alikhan Ozdoyev, has been destroyed, too," Yevkurov said.
The Ingushetia leader underlined that police had offered the gunmen to surrender before the operation began, but they opened fire at police and were destroyed in a shootout.
