NAZRAN, May 21 (Itar-Tass) - An effort to track down and neutralize a grouping of militants that was planning a terrorist act in the North Caucasian region of Ingushetia was underway in the Ingushetian city of Nazran early morning Tuesday.
Security forces imposed an antiterrorist operation regime on four streets in the city and blocked a private house as a result. Preliminary data suggests that several militants were taking shelter there.
As the talks between the security forces and the militants on the surrender of the latter began, a woman with a child left the house.
At the time of reporting, however, the militants were still inside and the special task forces officers were trying to convince them to get out and to lay down arms.
