MOSCOW, May 9 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s State Railway Corporation RZD has issued a warning about possible train delays in the southern Rostov region in the wake of an accident at Belaya Kalitva station where 51 railway tanks skidded off the track.
“The accident involving the coaches of a freight train, which ran off the track at Belaya Kalitva station of the North Caucasus department of the Russian Railways, may cause the delays of four passenger trains,” the RZD said in a press release.
The trains are Novorossiysk-Saratov, Simferopol-Yekaterinburg, Saratov-Novorossiysk, and Yekaterinburg-Simferopol.
Overnight to Thursday, a total of 51 tanks skidded off the track and a part of them caught fire, the area of which reached 1,500 square meters eventually.
