MOSCOW, May 4 (Itar-Tass) - Almost 100,000 police and military will be watching the order over the upcoming celebration of Orthodox Easter in Russia, press service of the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
The celebration will be on the night of May 5.
“According to the preliminary information we have, the festive services will be in over 10,000 churches, where about six million Orthodox believers will participate,” the press service said.
“In order to guarantee safety and to prevent any violations, the staff have inspected and guards all churches and the public facilities,” the source said adding the staff had been trained to react properly to any emergencies.
