MOSCOW, April 26 (Itar-Tass) - The launch of the next satellite of the Glonass orbital constellation will be carried out from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region on Friday, Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Alexei Zolotukhin told journalists.

“The operational crew of the Aerospace Defence troops will carry out the launch of the Soyuz 2.1b carrier rocket with the Glonass-M spacecraft from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on April 26, 2013,” Zolotukhin said.

According to him, prelaunch activities have been completed, and the decision on the rocket launch was made ·· by the state commission.

“It will be already the fourth launch of a Glonass-M satellite from the Plesetsk cosmodrome,” Zolotukhin recalled.

He noted that before the launch the rocket was blessed by representative of the Russian Orthodox Church Father Artemy before the launch.
