MOSCOW, April 23 (Itar-Tass) – Two persons suffered chemical burns after a container with chemical substance exploded in a building on Novy Arbat in Moscow’s centre, the press service of the Moscow city interior ministry department told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

There was no blast, the source said.

“A metal container with chemical substance exploded in a worker’s hands on Novy Arbat street 7. As a result, two persons received chemical burns,” the press service said.

Earlier Moscow’s law enforcement agencies said there was a blast in the capital’s centre that ripped through a metal container. Later the emergencies ministry department denied this information.
