SOCHI, April 20 (Itar-Tass) - The Kremlin is waiting for the United States to make an official statement regarding the nationality of the suspects in the terrorist attacks in Boston, Russian presidential press-secretary Dmitry Peskov said. At the same time he recalled President Vladimir Putin’s statement to the effect it would be very wrong to classify terrorists on the account of race or any other feature, because all deserve condemnation.
“All incoming information needs clarification. We are closely following media reports,” Peskov said, adding he had no idea if the secret services had any information of their own on that score.
“Regrettably, there have been no specific official statements so far. We are waiting for clarification,” Peskov said.
“Regardless of whether what has been said so far is true or not, whether they are Chechens or not Chechens, citizens of Kyrgyzstan, or Russia, or Turkey - and there have been reports that they entered the United States with Turkish passports - let me remind you that since the 2000, when war was still on in the North Caucasus, Putin has said more than once that there is no such thing as ‘our’ terrorists or somebody else’s. They should never be flirted with, they should never be treated differentially - some talked to and others, ignored. All deserve condemnation,” Peskov said.
