MOSCOW, April 18 (Itar-Tass) – The police detained a suspect in the raping and murder of a 7-year-old girl in the Novosibirsk Region, the press centre of the Russian Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
The Interior Ministry reported earlier that the child was found dead with the traces of violent death at 23:30 Moscow time on Wednesday near the town Toguchin, 100 metres from the turn to the settlement Krasny Yar in the forest belt.
The police reported that the girl left the school after the classes in Toguchin and did not come home on Wednesday afternoon. The police, volunteers and local residents were involved in the search for her.
“The suspected criminal was detained, required investigative actions are being taken against him,” the press centre reported.
