MOSCOW, April 13 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s response to the expansion of the Magnitsky list in the United States may follow within a day or two, the head of the State Duma’s international affairs committee, Alexei Pushkov told Itar-Tass.

He added though, he had no specific information on that score, but “it would be logical to speculate that Russia’s list may appear within a day or two.”

“The anti-Magnitsky list will be proportionate,” Pushkov said.

The US government on Friday made public the names of Russian officials liable to unilateral sanctions under the Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act the US Congress voted for last December.

The list contains eighteen names. None of the officials on it are high-ranking ones. The blacklisted persons will be denied US entry visas and their assets in US territory, should any be discovered, will be frozen.
