GENEVA, April 11 (Itar-Tass) - Iran, North Korea and Syria will be the key topics of the forthcoming G-8 summit in Lough Erne, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told journalists onboard of a plane on Thursday en route from London to Geneva.
“The thorniest problems, including North Korea, Iran and Syria, will be discussed when presidents and premiers gather in Northern Ireland. A lot of time will have passed by the start of June,” the Russian foreign minister said, commenting on results of the G-8 ministerial meeting in London.
Lavrov said that the G-8 had fixed its consolidated position on international problems such as Iran, the Korean nuclear program, the Syrian crisis and a conflict in Africa in a joint statement.
