TOKYO, April 10 (Itar-Tass) – North Korea has put additional Scud and Nodong ballistic missiles into battle positions north of the port town of Wonsan. Earlier, two launchers with the newest medium-range Musudan missiles had been sighted in the area, the South Korean defense ministry reported on Wednesday.
The North Korean press says nothing about the possible launch of ballistic medium range missiles. One of the main themes carried by the country's newspapers on Wednesday is the preparation for the main holiday: the birthday of Kim Il Sung to be celebrated on April 15.
The diplomatic missions in Pyongyang, including the Russian and Chinese diplomatic missions and offices of international humanitarian organizations, are functioning as usual.
"There were no changes in the operation of the Russian Embassy today," Russian Embassy spokesman Denis Samsonov stated.
