MOSCOW, April 8 (Itar-Tass) - Over 30 home grounds remain partially flooded in Russia’s Central Federal district, but there are no houses that would be partially flooded, sources from the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations told Tass on Sunday.
“Thirty-two home grounds, 51 low-level bridges and one road remain partially flooded in the Central Federal District at the moment,” the sources said.
As many roads in southern parts of central Russia look at the moment more like rivers and boats have become the main transport for local residents, 11 boat crossing points have been organized for the population in four distridts.
“A total of 6,500 people assisted by 500 units of hardware are involved in fight against floods and work to liquidate their aftermath in the central Federal District,” the sources added.
According to the ministry, 200 houses are partially flooded in Russia at the present moment. All of them are in the Volga Federal District where river floods have intensified over the past 24 hours.
