IRKUTSK, March 31 (Itar-Tass) – Two people have died in a grenade explosion in the Novaya Igirma village in Russia’s Irkutsk region and ten more have been injured and taken to hospital, a source at the Russian Interior Ministry department for the Irkutsk region, told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
The explosion occurred at 4:45 local time. ” According to preliminary reports, a group of people was having a party in a caf·. They had a quarrel and one of them took out a grenade, which exploded,” the source said.
A regional Interior Ministry commission has left for the scene. Police have sealed off the blast area.
