RF Security Council focuses on Cyprus, relations with China

The Security Council also riveted attention to the social and economic in Russia, as well as to international issues, Peskov said

MOSCOW, March 23 (Itar-Tass) – Russia’s Security Council, which gathered in the president’s residence of Zavidovo on Saturday, touched on the economic situation in the eurozone with the focus on the Cypriot crisis and the outcome of the Russian-Chinese talks of March 22, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The Security Council also riveted attention to the social and economic in Russia, as well as to international issues, Peskov said.

The meeting involved Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the chairpersons of both houses of the Federal Assembly – Valentina Matviyenko and Sergei Naryshkin, chief of staff Sergei Ivanov, Security Council secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, SVR Director Mikhail Fradkov, chairman of the United Russia Supreme Council and Security Council Deputy Secretary Rashid Nurgaliyev.
