ST. PETERSBURG, March 17 (Itar-Tass) – The Lomonosovsky District Court in the Leningrad Region arrested during the investigation Anna Yefimova, 30, who is suspected of neglecting her duties for the upbringing of her two little children. Yefimova was interrogated as a suspect on Saturday, after that the detectives demanded put her under arrest. “The petition of the detective (for her arrest) is satisfied,” the investigation department of the Russian Investigation Committee in the Leningrad Region told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
The suspect will face official accusation under Article 156 of the Russian Criminal Code for negligence of the duties for the upbringing of an underage child.
The detectives found that Yefimova also “treated brutally underage children, leaving them alone at home systematically without the care of adults and badly needed food products for a long period of time.”
The policeman found a little girl aged one year and seven months and an 8-month-old boy in an empty flat in the previous week. The children are hospitalized now.
