MOSCOW, March 12 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s Former Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov on Tuesday testified on 11 pages on cases of using soldiers to build a road leading to the Zhitnoye holiday home in the Astrakhan region, Serdyukov’s lawyer Genrikh Padva told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“Serdyukov told investigators that he would like to give a fuller testimony on the fact of the road’s construction. Today, he was invited to the Investigation Committee where he gave detailed testimony on 11 pages in which he mentioned all the circumstances of the road’s construction,” Padva said. The lawyer refused to answer additional questions and comment the course of investigation.
Serdyukov was summoned as a witness. According to investigators, Serdyukov’s son in law was one of the co-founders of a company that owns the Zhitnoye holiday home.
