PRETORIA, March 9 (Itar-Tass) – Kenyan Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has won at the presidential elections in the country with 50.03% of votes, the Kenyan Central Election Commission stated on Saturday according to the preliminary election results.

Thus, Kenyatta, 51, which the International Criminal Court accused of the crimes against humanity, gained 6.17 millions of votes.

The Kenyan Central Election Commission will announce the official election results at 11:00 local time (12:00 Moscow time) on Saturday, though under the election law the commission has some more time to sum up the election returns until Monday.

On March 4, the presidential elections were held in Kenya. As many as 14.3 million people entitled to vote were registered at a total of 32,000 polling stations. For the victory in the first round a winner is to gain over 50% of votes in the whole country and no less than 25% of votes in more than a half of 47 election constituencies in the country.
