NOVOSIBIRSK, March 6 (Itar-Tass) – As many as 5 trillion roubles will be allocated for the re-equipment of Russian Air Force units, Russian President Vladimir Putin said here at a meeting devoted to the state of and prospects for the development of the country’s combat aviation.

The president stressed that the deliveries of modern aircraft equipment to the army have already begun – they are serial deliveries. “In total, for the re-equipment of Air Force units and troops, I now recall this conversation with the workers at the assembly shop, we plan to allot about 25 percent from the total financing of the state defence order. As you know it (defence order) amounts to 20 trillion roubles, so a quarter of 20 trillion roubles - 5 trillion, is a very significant sum,” Putin said.
