MOSCOW, March 5 (Itar-Tass) – A suspect attacker on Bolshoi Theatre artistic director Sergei Filin has been detained in the Tver region, northwest of Moscow, an interior ministry spokesman told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

“Officers of the ministry’s criminal investigation department jointly with their colleagues from the city of Tver and traffic police officers detained a principal offender suspected of attacking Bolshoi Theatre artistic director Sergei Filin,” the spokesman said.

The name of the 35-year-old man is withheld.

Earlier on Tuesday, law-enforcement agents detained the first suspect in the case. The man is suspected of being a go-between between the contractor and the actor. Later, police searched the apartment of Bolshoi Theatre ballet dancer Pavel Dmitrichenko.
