IRKUTSK, March 5 (Itar-Tass) - The Federal Penitentiary Service department for the Irkutsk region /GUFSIN/ confirmed that the remand ward in Irkutsk where Opposition activist Leonid Razvozzhayev, an aide to a State Duma deputy is kept, has received the Investigative Committee's resolution to convoy him to Moscow.
On Monday, the lawyers of Razvozzhayev who is accused of planning riots, said the convoying documents had been received back on February 26. "The resolution is indeed on hand," the GUFSIN confirmed on Tuesday, "Razvozzhayev will be sent to Moscow with the next convoy."
"The precise date of the beginning of the procedure is confidential. Irkutsk sends convoys westward twice a month. Razvozzhayev might be convoyed by the end of the march," a GUFSIN official told Tass.
Sergei Udaltsov, Leonid Razvozzhayev and Konstantin Lebedev are suspects in the case over preparations to stage mass disturbances. Criminal proceedings were instituted over the facts shown in the Anatomy of Protest-2 film, which featured a scene where they were discussing the possibility to stage riots in Moscow and Russian regions.
The meeting, captured by a spycam, took place in Minsk, and involved chairman of the Georgian parliament's committee for defense and security Givi Targamadze, Georgia's consul in Moldova Mikhail Iashvili, their three aides, as well as Udaltsov, Lebedev and Razvozzhayev.
The case over robbery in Angarsk in 1997 against Razvozzhayev was dropped due to the statute of limitation. The third criminal case against him was opened over illegal border crossing and false allegations that he had been tortured.
