Heat supply system at Yakutia's Tiksi to be fully restored Mar 1

VLADIVOSTOK, February 28 (Itar-Tass) - The restoration of heat supply to the frozen houses in Takutia's Tiksi Township will be fully restored on March 1, an official at the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (RME) center for Yakutia annnounced Thursday.

On February 6, one of three boilers in the township's boiler-house broke down, which resulted in a decline in hot-water temperature in the heat supply system of the township. The outcome of the breakdown was that 32 houses (158 apartment) remained without heating, with air temperature outdoors being 49 degrees below zero, Celsius.

More than fifteen teams of specialists of the housing/public utilities sector arrived at Tiksi from various areas of Yakutia, bringing piping, heat irradiators, and other equipment. The boiler-house currently operates in a standard mode.
