Man opening fire from air gun at teenagers at school skating rink detained in Pskov region

ST. PETERSBURG, February 27 (Itar-Tass) – The police in the town Sebezh in the Pskov Region detained a man, who is suspected of opening fire from an air gun at the teenagers at the school skating rink, spokesman of the Pskov regional police department told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

The alarm call about the incident came in the alert force of the police station Sebezhsky at about 20:00 Moscow time on February 23. The police that rushed to the incident site explained that a drunken citizen hit a 15-year-old teenager several times, after that he opened fire at the children, who were riding at the skating rink. A bullet has hit a child born in 1998, inflicting “the light damage to the health of the teenager,” the police noted.

The criminal escaped from the crime scene.

Local detectives are searching for the offender. During the search operation the suspect was identified. He turned out to be a resident of the town Sebezh born in 1987, and an air gun was confiscated from him in the search of him.

The criminal case was opened under Article 213 Part 1 clause a of the Russian Criminal Code for hooliganism.
