MOSCOW, February 27 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS) has banned entry into Russia to 15,000 foreigners who breached the migration law which stipulates a term of presence of a foreign citizen on the Russian territory, FMS Chief Konstantin Romodanovsky told the FMS Board which met on Wednesday.

The FMS chief recalled of the adopted amendments to the existing legislation. The amended law bans foreign citizens to enter Russia for three years since their previous visit to Russia during which the foreigners failed to leave Russia within 30 days after their authorized term of presence on the Russian territory had expired.

The resolution has affected 15,000 foreigners; around two million more foreigners might face a similar ban in future, the FMS chief said.
