BERLIN, February 26 (Itar-Tass) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that United States Secretary of State John Kerry had promised to see to it that all necessary measures were taken to ensure transparency concerning Russian children adopted by American families.
“We thoroughly discussed problems related to adopted Russian children. John Kerry admitted that these problems are not far-fetched that they do exist and vowed to personally take all necessary measures to ensure utter transparency in the area for us,” Lavrov told journalists after a meeting with Kerry.
“I think it is a very important statement. We shall do our best to have these words be realized in practice,” he stressed.
