Putin urges to remove all obstacles hindering child adoptions in Russia

He ordered the government "to settle these problems as soon as possible"

NOVO-OGARYOVO, February 26 (Itar-Tass) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded that the government take efforts to remove problems of child adoptions in Russia the soonest possible.

Speaking at a meeting of the council on national projects and the demographic policy, the president noted that some measures had already been taken in this area but, in his words, “some problems have not yet been settled.”

“It is necessary to remove all obstacles that face people who want to adopt a child,” Putin stressed. He ordered the government “to settle these problems as soon as possible.”
