TBILISI, February 25 (Itar-Tass) – Georgia’s former president Eduard Shevardnadze has offered to set up a parliamentary commission to look into President Mikhail Saakashvili’s crimes.
“Time has come to set up a special commission in the Georgian parliament to investigate crimes committed by President Mikhail Saakashvili and his team,” Shevardnadze told reporters on Monday. “The regime of Saakashvili must be condemned in Georgia,” he stressed.
In the past years, the former president has repeatedly criticized different aspects of the policy of President Saakashvili and the United National Movement Party he leads.
