Taxi driver detained on murder suspicions of schoolgirl in Ussuriisk

The knife was found at his house that was reportedly used for inflicting two knife wounds to the girl

MOSCOW, February 24 (Itar-Tass) – A taxi driver was detained in the Primorsky Territory on suspicions of killing Nastya Lutsishina, 8, he has already given the confessing testimony, spokesman for the Russian Investigation Committee Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

“The taxi driver detained on Saturday gave the confessing testimony and said about the details of the crime. The knife was found at his house that was reportedly used for inflicting two knife wounds to the girl,” Markin said.

A suspected killer of a little girl in Ussuriisk was detained in the Primorsky Territory, the press centre of the Russian Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

Anastasia Lutsishina, 8, went missing on February 19 in the city Ussuriisk in the Primorsky Territory. The detectives found that after the track and field training at the school, the girl went home and was lost. The search was launched immediately. About 500 volunteers were participating in the search along with policemen. The criminal case was opened over the disappearance of the child under an article of the Criminal Code for murder.

On February 23, the girl was found dead 15 kilometres away from Ussuriisk and 150 metres away from the road leading in the village Banevurovo in the Ussuriisk district. Numerous bruises and scratches were found on her body.

The investigation department of the Russian Investigation Committee in the Primorsky Territory scheduled several expertises over the murder case of schoolgirl Anastasia Lutsishina, 8. Along with the forensic expertise a genomic and forensic scent evidence expertise will be conducted, the regional department of the Investigation Committee said earlier on Sunday.
