EMERCOM plane airlifts humanitarian aid to Mali

It is carrying tents, blankets, food and articles of prime necessity

MOSCOW, February 22 (Itar-Tass) – The Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) has sent a batch of humanitarian aid to Mali, where an armed conflict has continued for almost a year.

“At 10:36 Moscow time, an Il-76 plane of the emergencies ministry took off from Ramenskoye airfield outside Moscow with humanitarian cargo worth about 40 tons on board,” ministry sources told Tass. It is carrying tents, blankets, food and articles of prime necessity.
