Warlord, his 2 accomplices destroyed in Dagestan

No law enforcers were injured in the special operation

MAKHACHKALA, February 17 (Itar-Tass) – Three gunmen, who were destroyed overnight to Sunday in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan in a special operation, were identified, a spokesman for the republican investigation department of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

“The so-called emir of the northern sector of Dagestan Daniyal Zargalov, 34, who is a resident of Bammayurt in the Sakhavyurt district, was among the destroyed gunmen,” he said.

His accomplices Kalimula Sapikulayev, 25, from the village Novosasetli in the Khasavyurt district, and Ruslan Tembiyev, 29, from Leninaul in the Kazbek district of the republic, were identified as well, the spokesman said.

The detectives found that the gunmen were destroyed at about 02:30 Moscow time on Sunday in the forest on the outskirts of the village Pokrovskoye in the Khasavyurt district.

No law enforcers were injured in the special operation.

Three submachine guns, which belonged to the gunmen, and ammunition were found at the clash site.

The criminal case was opened under several articles of the Russian Criminal Code for the attempt on the life of law enforcer, illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition and participation in the illegal armed unit.
