MOSCOW, February 12 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Deputy foreign minister Igor Morgulov in a telephone conversation with U.S. special envoy Glyn Davies, North Korea's lead negotiator, has discussed the situation on the Korean peninsula in connection with a new nuclear test made by North Korea, a source from the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
Earlier, a diplomatic source from the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow had blamed Pyongyang for its act. North Korea's conduct, in particular, it’s outrageous neglect of the demands of the U.N. Security Council's and the world community, cannot help evoking protest, the source said.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has confirmed that North Korea has made a third underground nuclear test on Tuesday, which KCNA said was an act in retaliation for the US hostile politics. KCNA praised the success of the nuclear test which, in its opinion, would help ensure security on the Korean peninsula.
