TBILISI, February 10 (Itar-Tass) – Georgia’s President Michael Saakashvili is ready on Monday, February 11 for a dialogue with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and his tem about changes to the Constitution and other issues related to the country’s development.

Saakashvili published the statement on his page in Facebook on Sunday.

“In order to stop the monologues and statements on television and in order to begin discussing the issues, I am inviting prime minister and his team to a dialogue with me and my administration,” he said. “On Monday already we may start discussing together the legal issues, including the constitutional changes and other important initiatives, which require a consensus on the way to provide peaceful coexistence of various institutions, which is vitally important for the Georgian democracy.”

The president assured “negotiations will start immediately as the prime minister accepts the invitation.” He expressed readiness “parallel to that to make a speech at the parliament and to address the nation.”

On Saturday, the country’s government published statement made by Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, where he expressed readiness “for a constructive cooperation with the president and his political team on conditions of observing the Constitution and the rule of law.”
