Court places Sergei Udaltsov under house arrest

MOSCOW, February 9 (Itar-Tass) – The Moscow Basmanny District Court has placed leader of Russia’s Left Front Sergei Udaltsov under house arrest.

Udaltsov is accused of mass disorders and violence towards police at the Bolotnaya Square and organising mass disorders on the territory of Russia.

Thus, Judge Artur Karpov has granted the investigator’s motion to change the measure of restraint from a written undertaking not to leave the place to house arrest.
