MOSCOW, February 9 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s President Vladimir Putin promised support for the Parents’ All-Russian Resistance organisation, established at Saturday’s Parents’ Congress in Moscow.

Speaking at the forum, the president said: “This event features true patriots of Russia.”

“Your concern about the family, raising its role in upbringing our children’s patriotism cause the feeling of gratitude and clear support, even do not doubt about it,” Putin said.

He hopes the forum “will continue the new interesting ideas, which would be of demand, and which, surely, will be implemented.”

“Here, we are ready for most close partnership and cooperation,” the president assured the audience.

A similar statement came from Head of the presidential administration Sergei Ivanov as he commented on the organisation’s charter, especially on the part devoted to the organisation’s objectives.

“Activities in education, sciences, culture, arts, healthcare and promotion of traditional Russian values, including the family, support for the spiritual development of Russians. This is what I am supporting, and it is what I have mentioned earlier – fighting the fooling of Russians,” he said.

Participants in the parents’ congress “are expressing public opinion, at least that of the majority,” he said.
