Rigla employee who killed 6 colleagues, says not sure of his sanity

MOSCOW, February 6 (Itar-Tass) - Rigla pharmaceutical company employee Dmitry Vinogradov, who shot and killed his six colleagues in an office, said he acknowledged his guilt. "I don't know why I did it; a normal person cannot do it. I'm now aware of my guilt and very much regret it," Vinogradov said at Moscow's Babushkinsky court on Wednesday. He noted that he was not sure of his sanity.

When asked about the punishment he was facing, Vinogradov said, «they’ll probably sentence me to life /in prison/," adding that he "was not ready for it."

The resounding crime was committed in Moscow's Chermyansksaya Street in November 2012. Lawyer Vinolgradov shot and killed their colleagues at their workplace using his two hunting rifles. Three men and two young women were killed on the spot, and another young man died in hospital. One young woman wounded by Vinogradov survived.

The killer was overpowered by company security personnel.

Before the crime, the lawyer placed on his page in a social network a manifesto which prosecutors said called for terrorism.

Vinogradov is accused under penal code Article 105, Part 2 /murder of two or more persons/, Article 30, Part 3 and Article 105 /attempted murder of two or more persons/.
