YEKATERINBURG, February 5 (Itar-Tass) - An ATR-42 passenger plane of the UTair airline made an emergency landing at Tyumen airport on Tuesday, supposedly because of malfunction of one of the engines, airline press secretary Yelena Galanova told Itar-Tass.

The liner on a Tyumen-Noyabrsk flight with 34 passengers aboard flew out from Tyumen airport at 08:20 Moscow time. On the flight, supposedly one of the engines malfunctioned, and the captain decided to return to the airport.

A reserve plane was prepared. It was planned to take off at 10:20 Moscow time, the spokeswoman said.

An ATR-42 has two engines, so it can fly even with one engine, but not for a long distance, she noted

Fortunately, it landed safely. A special commission will investigate the incident, she added.
