MOSCOW, February 4 (Itar-Tass) – The Bolshoi Ballet’s artistic director, Sergei Filin, said he had been discharged from Moscow’s hospital and should leave for Germany on Monday for further rehabilitation treatment.

“Everything what concerns a rehabilitation period in Germany we will know today, when we go for the first examination,” he said. “I think that we will know the answer to this question soon.”

“I feel well. I would even say excellent, if my eyesight were better… My body is full of energy, strength, my hands and legs are in full health, my will power and everything, which concerns my internal strength, is in place,” Filin said. “Therefore I feel myself well.”

He thanked Moscow’s doctors for their high skills and care.

“I want to say most pleasant and complimentary words to doctors who were with me during these minutes and first of all to those who monitored my face and skin, because pain was unbearable,” he said.

Filin assured that he was full of strength and continues to work.

He said he had talked by phone with the Bolshoi Theatre leadership earlier in the day and discussed his further work.

The 42-year-old artistic director was badly damaged in the January 17 acid attack in Moscow.
