SEOUL, January 30 (Itar-Tass) – South Korea on Wednesday has carried out the launch of the KSLV-1 rocket with a scientific satellite. The launch was carried out from the Naro cosmodrome, which was built with the help of Russian specialists, the Yonhap news agency reported.
Thus, the Republic of Korea has become the 13th country in the world to launch a satellite from its own territory. To date, Seoul has launched about 10 satellites into space, but all the launches had been carried out from foreign territory with the use of foreign launch vehicles.
