MOSCOW, January 28 (Itar-Tass) – The Tverskoi Court of Moscow on Monday again could not get down to the consideration of the criminal case against auditor of the UK fund Hermitage Capital Management Sergei Magnitsky, who died in prison, and the fund’s Director General British citizen William Browder accused of tax evasion worth 522 million roubles.
As their representatives refused to participate in the trial, Judge Igor Alisov ruled to appoint free defence lawyers for the defendants.
Earlier, the lawyers of the defendants stated they did not intend to participate in the proceedings, because they consider illegal the resumption of the investigation against late Magnitsky.
