MOSCOW, January 25 (Itar-Tass) – The Vostok tower, which is under construction at the Moscow-City business centre, is on fire.
There is no information about victims, the Moscow branch of EMERCOM reports.
“According to the preliminary information, the fire started at the roof of the building,” the source said. “Several fire brigades are at the site.”
The firefighters are evacuating workers from the building, Itar-Tass’ correspondent reports.
On April 2, 2012, extinguishing of a fire in the Vostok tower of Moscow-City took about four hours. The mission in the building, which experts called most high and most continuous construction project in the capital city, involved 25 fire brigades and four helicopters of the Moscow Aviation Centre. Despite the use of helicopters, the fire continued for a very long time. The upper floor was on fire practically entirely.
