IZHEVSK, January 24 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Defense Ministry will not prolong the contract with Italy's Iveco to buy armored vehicles, Russian Land Troops commander Vladimir Chirkin told reporters on Wednesday.

"The contract with Italy for further purchase of these vehicles has been suspended," he stated.
