Seven people injured in gas cylinder explosion in Krasnoyarsk

Six of them are in a grave condition

KRASNOYARSK, January 22 (Itar-Tass) — Seven people were injured in the explosion of a gas cylinder in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, on Tuesday. Six of them are in a grave condition, sources from the press service of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations’ regional department have said.

The explosion triggering a fire occurred in the services workshop where gas cylinders are installed at 18:08 local time (14:08 Moscow time). The fire is engulfing an area of 300 square meters.

Rescue services and police were rushed to the scene. The neighborhood is cordoned off, and firefighting efforts continue.
