KEMEROVO, January 20 (Itar-Tass) – Investigative bodies of the Kemerovo region have initiated criminal proceedings in connection with the death of four miners at Kuzbass mine No. 7 where a smoke spread occurred, Nadezhda Ananyeva, senior assistant to the head of the public relations department of the Investigative department of the Investigation Committee, told Itar-Tass.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on charges of violation of safety rules at explosion-prone facilities.
According to preliminary reports, four people died and another four miners are missing.
At the moment, the dead bodies are being raised to the surface. They will be identified later on.
