CHERNOVTSY /Ukraine/, January 14 (Itar-Tass) — For Europe’s unanimity it is necessary to introduce as soon as possible a visa-free regime, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday.

“Without it, it would be impossible to reach the level of cooperation which is appropriate for the current time,” he said.

“For the climate of trust and cooperation in Euro-Atlantic, it is necessary to use the entire arsenal, including, of course, the platform of OSCE, which Ukraine is chairing this year,” Lavrov said. “We hope that our Ukrainian friends will apply every effort to assure that OSCE may favour unanimity of its all member states on the basis of mutual tasks and interests.”

“Important are opportunities of the European Council, which has the necessary set of instruments for international legal basis of the united humanitarian space of the continent,” Lavrov said.
